About The Project
Three rooms had three different floors and a trip at every doorway. The household wanted one timber underfoot that could take muddy paws without looking fragile.
The Project Challenge
The hall subfloor dipped toward an old hearth. Laying boards over it would have opened the joints within a season. We leveled the dip, planned the board direction along the longest view, and detailed a reducer where the kitchen tile remained.
The Result
The rooms read as one. The dogs’ path from door to sofa no longer clicks across a metal strip every two meters. Felt pads went on the chairs before the rugs, and the care note names the cleaner that will not haze the finish.
