About The Project
A cramped bath with a leaking shower door became a quieter room. The brief was simple: a tub for slow evenings, a shower that drains, and tile the color of a shaded leaf.
The Project Challenge
The floor joists and the old valve were both tired. Opening the wall showed a patch that had been repaired once already. We paused, replaced the valve and the wet-area substrate, and only then set the large tile. The niche was moved so it did not land on a stud.
The Result
Steam leaves through a fan on a timer. The curb is sloped, the glass is a single clear panel, and a small stool sits by the tub. The room feels larger because the lines are fewer and the grout is quiet.
